Commercial - Senior Auditor / Surveyor Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor / Surveyor to join their Invoice Finance team and to independently and objectively identify and manage risks through appropriate auditing to: Ascertain the value of the assets purchased, or to be purchased, under the client’s agreement with the Bank. Determine the likelihood and timing of the need to rely on those assets Take, or recommend, action to ensure the security of the funding provided, or to be provided Broaden and deepen the relationships with clients and prospects You will ensure that a client driven approach is successfully adopted by yourself and the team at all times and you will work to broaden and deepen client relationships. You will inspire team members to meet with policies, procedures and strategies and you will promote the sharing of information and skills to contribute to the continual evolution, efficiency and effectiveness of the department. You’ll also use your sound working knowledge of banking systems to identify potential impact from current legislation and regulations. Naturally, you’ll be committed to customer service and relish a challenge, together with a self-motivated, positive approach. You’ll be capable of working to high standards under pressure and you’ll be a pragmatic, innovative problem solver with the ability to know when assertiveness is appropriate. The successful candidate must have the following: Strong Accounting background Relevant experience in the Invoice Finance industry , an Accounting practice or the Receivables Banking sector Experience conducting audits and due diligence on a large complex corporate client portfolio Audit experience of Asset Based Lending (inventory / plant & machinery) Good knowledge and experience of receivables financing and asset based auditing Excellent report writing skills Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management Ideally you will hold an Asset Based Finance Association Certificate or Diploma, however this is not essential. You will be willing to travel within the UK as audits are conducted at client’s premises.
