Our Client is a UK Bank with a specialist team of 55 Agriculture Managers who are responsible for 8000 customers producing £47m annual income. Our Client has less than 5% market share in the agriculture sector in Scotland. They are seeking a Senior Agricultural Manager to build a Commercial Agricultural portfolio from scratch. You will be responsible for generating new business with existing customers, protecting the portfolio from attrition and maximising opportunities to develop new customers and grow the portfolio. You'll build the Bank's profile in the Agriculture community and will continually deliver a professional relationship management service to existing and prospective customers in order to maximise contribution towards the Commercial Segment Annual Operating Plan. To succeed as an Agricultural Manager you will be sociable and outgoing; preferring to work with others; but with an element of independence. You will also need to be driven, dedicated and determined to achieve/exceed goals and customer expectations. The role would suit someone who is calm and relaxed even under heavy pressure in demanding work environments.The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills Extensive knowledge and experience of the Scottish market Knowledge and experience of the Commercial market, locally and globally Working knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, Agriculture Proven Commercial relationship management skills - specifically sales, judgmental credit and ability to win new business. Strong communication skills (written and oral) Excellent interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on inspiring, influencing and negotiating effectively with customers and colleagues Good analytical and credit skills and a balanced approach to risk management
