Our client is a leading Corporate / Commercial bank has an excellent opportunity for an experienced banker to join an award winning team. The role will involve helping manage qportfolio of assigned customers (1-150 million T/O).
You will be responsible for marketing and profiling the Bank in local markets and in seeking to expand business with both existing and new customers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help manage Credit Responsibilities for all assigned cases including the recommendations of sanction, facility documentation, security, credit grading and the monitoring and control of advances.
- Expand and develop the overall customer base whilst maintaining the balance of growth and risk
- Establish manage and develop full and effective relationships with key customers and potential business introducers with the support of branch colleagues
- Help identify and pursue new business/additional opportunities in the teams target sectors and enhance the profile of the company.
- Drive the use of Credit Grading Tools within the team to ensure Compliance regulations.
- An understanding of risk and an ability to assess and evaluate operational risks the role. To escalate the risks (subject to defined parameters) to line management attention.
- To actively support and implement the partnership agreement between the Relationship Management Team and the New Business Team.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE PERSON WITHIN CORPORATE / COMMERCIAL BANKING
- Strong banking experience. This is ESSENTIAL for this role.
- You must have well developed business skills in particular lending/analytical and negotiating skills and a proven ability to analyse credit and risk within banking.
- Business development skills within banking
- Some exposure to credit/financial analysis (but with potential to develop quickly)
- Experience in corporate/commercial/business lending team
- Good understanding of financial accounts
- Excellent relationship/networking skills
- Excellent (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills
